Gay – How ca I get over unrequited love?

There’s this guy in my class I like, I liked him for a year and a half. Anyway, I get the feeling he is interested, some of my friends say he doesn’t like me and others say he might. He knows I like him because I told him, but he never gave an answer, just said he will still talk to me. Since I told him he started mess flirting. He may not be interested in me, or he may be too afraid to come out, but I don’t have the energy to keep this up, it’s exhausting.
I want to get over him, what would you do in this situation?
Btw, one day he is laughing and joking with me, the next he completely blanks me, not sure if that makes a difference.
